About the team
The Zillow Group FinTech team partners with Finance to design, build, and support innovative solutions that optimize business processes. We deliver both native application functionality and custom engineering across key Finance areas, including Tax, Procurement, Travel & Expenses, Treasury, Financial Planning & Analysis, and Accounts Payable. Our team of application analysts, engineers, and technical project managers works closely with Finance Product and business partners to drive efficiency and transformation within Zillow.About the role
As a Manager, Finance Technology, you will define the technical strategy for financial systems and build a high-performing team to own and evolve these platforms. You’ll drive staffing decisions, oversee technical execution, and prioritize engineering and operational excellence initiatives. In this role, you will collaborate with product and business partners on impactful financial initiatives, serve as the point of technical escalation, and ensure the quality, scalability, and reliability of the solutions your team delivers. Your leadership will directly influence the transformation of Zillow’s financial operations.
As a Manager, Finance Technology, You Will Get To:
Lead, mentor, and manage a diverse team of developers and application analysts.
Foster an inclusive environment and support the professional growth of your team members.
Provide technical leadership for your team and the broader organization.
Collaborate with product teams and peer leaders to build and execute product and technology roadmaps.
Ensure delivery on established roadmaps and objectives, and participate in leadership reviews to track progress.
Oversee the quality, scalability, and reliability of financial technology solutions.
Leverage AI and modern development practices to drive innovation.
Support the full development lifecycle and champion Agile methodologies.
Who you are
Hold a BS in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science/Engineering, or have equivalent experience.
Have 7+ years of experience implementing and supporting Finance systems.
Bring 2+ years of people management experience.
Possess experience with SaaS platforms and enterprise applications (preferably Workday, Zuora).
Are skilled in Agile software delivery and familiar with project management tools such as JIRA.
Demonstrate strong collaboration skills to build effective relationships with peers and stakeholders.
Are passionate about mentoring and supporting the career growth of your team.
