About the role

As the Principal Product Manager for Industry Data Ingestion, you will define, own, and execute on the product strategy and roadmap to modernize Zillow’s listing ingestion platform and data operations workflows through AI and automation. Working alongside other cross-functional product, engineering, operations, legal, and industry partners, you will have a significant impact on Zillow Group’s ability to execute on its ambitious goals by driving our ability to modernize and scale support for listing data to meet the needs of the entire company. As MLS Data is one of our more complex legal domains, you will also play a key role in leading efforts across the entire Real Estate Data product and engineering organization to simplify and streamline role and permissions access for our data customers.

In this role, you will:

  • Own the product strategy and roadmap for improving our listing data platform with AI and automation

  • Partner closely with our data operations teams to identify critical pain points and increase our ability to sustainably scale

  • Build and launch AI-powered workflows to automate and streamline manual processes

  • Drive the design and adoption of simplified data access patterns across Real Estate Data products, starting with MLS Data

  • Establish and monitor key data health metrics, including anomaly detection and reporting alerts

  • Support cross-functional initiatives that span the entire Zillow Group suite of products from shoppers, to renters, to agents, and more

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $173,300.00 - $276,800.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington state, and Washington DC and may not be applicable to other locations.In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

Who you are

  • 8+ years of product management experience working on data platforms and AI/ML infrastructure

  • Proven experience applying AI to streamline workflows or internal tools at scale

  • Deep understanding of data ingestion, normalization, and access control patterns in modern data ecosystems

  • Strong cross-functional leadership skills, with a track record of leading initiatives across organizational boundaries

  • Systems thinker with a history of delivering scalable platforms that improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with the modern data stack (e.g., Databricks, dbt, Snowflake, or similar tools)

  • Experience building internal tooling or platforms for data, operations, or other internal data customers

  • Prior work integrating complex third-party data sources — MLS or otherwise — into internal platforms or customer experiences
