About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager of Product Management to lead a team of six product managers focused on internal employee technology. This role will focus predominately on Workday but also lead a team that supports adjacent people organization systems. You will set and drive the strategic vision and execution across key platforms, ensuring that Zillow’s People Organization and employees have the tools they need to succeed. In this role, you’ll partner deeply with the People Organization business leaders and the People Tech engineering team to prioritize opportunities, balance enhancements with long-term innovation, and deliver high-impact solutions. You will also play a critical leadership role in developing your team, helping each product manager grow their strategic capabilities, execution excellence, and leadership impact.

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $187,100.00 - $298,900.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Washington state, and Washington DC and may not be applicable to other locations.In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

  • Lead, coach, and inspire a team of product managers, fostering a culture of innovation, ownership, and growth.

  • Define and execute the roadmap for the People Organization, focusing on meaningful improvements driven by business problems

  • Partner with business and engineering leaders to align product strategy with broader organizational goals

  • Prioritize initiatives that balance short-term needs with long-term vision, ensuring consistent delivery of high-impact solutions

  • Be responsible for measuring the impact of the roadmap, ensuring that the changes are having the result expected

  • Guide the team through capacity planning, agile execution, and continuous improvement of team operations

  • Identify operational opportunities and come up with a plan to implement improvements, focused on a continuous improvement philosophy

  • Lead quarterly, mid-year and annual planning for your team

  • Champion inclusive, user-centered design across platforms, with a focus on simplicity, accessibility, and scale

  • Mentor future leaders by supporting their development in strategy, collaboration, and execution

  • Communicate key progress, risks, opportunities and alternative options to executive audiences with clarity and confidence

What We’re Looking For

  • 8+ years in product management, including 3+ years managing product managers

  • Strong experience with Workday (HCM, Recruiting, Compensation) and a proven track record of optimizing complex systems

  • Demonstrated success delivering employee-facing or enterprise platforms that drive measurable impact

  • Ability to simplify complexity, set clear priorities, and align diverse teams toward common goals

  • Experience managing third-party tools, vendors, and system integrations

  • Outstanding communication and collaboration skills—able to connect with both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels of the organization
