About the role

As a Principal Strategy and Business Operations Manager, you will leverage your strong strategic background and deep data analysis experience to:

  • Spearhead comprehensive market analyses that unlock new growth opportunities and guide strategic investments

  • Architect business models for key products (including pricing and packaging strategies) that maximize revenue

  • Lead high-stakes initiatives that directly impact Zillow's market position and revenue growth

  • Build strategic frameworks that align product development with market demands and business objectives

  • Orchestrate cross-functional collaboration between Product, Data Science, Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Customer Experience teams

  • Mentor and develop junior team members to build a high-performing strategy organization

  • Create learning opportunities and structured development paths for analysts and managers

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $148,600.00 - $237,400.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC and may not be applicable to other locations.In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

  • Outstanding presentation skills with experience communicating to executive audiences

  • Demonstrated success in coaching and developing junior talent

  • Experience creating and implementing structured mentorship programs

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Business Analytics, Finance, or related quantitative field

  • 10+ years of professional experience, including 3+ years at top-tier management consulting firms and 3+ years in revenue/business strategy or similar data-driven roles

  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful business strategies across complex organizations

  • Demonstrated excellence in market analysis, competitive intelligence, and financial modeling with ability to translate complex analyses into actionable insights

  • Strong project management skills with experience leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple high-stakes initiatives

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or advanced degree in a related field

  • Experience transitioning from consulting to in-house strategy roles

  • Expertise in advanced pricing strategies and product packaging methodologies

  • Previous experience building and leading high-performing teams
