We are looking for a Sales Development Manager who can help us exponentially grow the Rentals marketplace. In this role, you will lead a dynamic sales and business development team that engages and works with partners of all sizes. Your primary focus will be coaching the team to achieve high sales productivity while building quick rapport with different clients.

About the role

As the Sales Manager of our sales and business development team, you will lead a team of sales professionals and hold ultimate responsibility for a rapidly growing and fast-paced sales team.

  • Take ownership, develop strategies, and provide leadership for all aspects of the regional sales team, including personnel development, client relationships, sales production, reporting, and more.

  • Emphasize the implementation of consistent and high-quality sales output, demonstrating enthusiasm for delving into the details, rolling up your sleeves, and driving continuous improvement through iterative processes.

  • Continuously track and improve important measurements related to appointments set, revenue generated and marketing strategies.

  • Facilitate process standardization, ensuring activities like activity metrics, sales processes, and operational cadence are streamlined and optimized for efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Enhance quality appointment setting through consistent, thoughtful, and data-driven coaching. Your coaching approach should focus on cultivating high quality meetings for our acquisition sales teams.

  • Effectively communicate Zillow Rental's value proposition through presentations, industry events, executive meetings, and sales proposals. These communications should inspire and motivate your team, enhancing their understanding of the company's mission and objectives.

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $93,600.00 - $149,400.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC and may not be applicable to other locations.In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role are eligible for incentive compensation and equity awards. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

Who you are

  • Minimum of 2+ years of sales leadership experience with an emphasis on leading BDRs and SDRs at the top of the sales funnel.
  • Thrives in and possesses experience in a start-up environment. Approaches challenges with a business owner's mentality, making quick and conclusive decisions in the face of ambiguity.
  • Experience in a dynamic, high-energy sales environment. Prior experience with distributed workforces is preferred.
  • Skilled in identifying and overcoming roadblocks, demonstrating creativity in problem-solving while keeping the big picture in mind.
  • Consistent track record of meeting and surpassing sales goals.
  • Ability to lead effectively in an ever-evolving, fast-paced environment, navigating through ambiguity with confidence.
  • Proficient in coaching sales teams to navigate complex sales processes that involve multiple decision-makers and influencers.
  • Strong presentation skills, capable of influencing individuals at various levels within an organization, including C-level executives. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Solid working knowledge of CRM software, preferably Salesforce.
