About the team

The Government Relations Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing team operations, PAC processes, and project management to support the company's advocacy and public policy efforts and ensure alignment with business objectives. The Operations Manager will report to the Director of Public Policy and Operations and also support the Director of Public Affairs.

This role involves driving accountability for cross-team initiatives, leading special projects, and fostering cross-functional partnerships by identifying operating model gaps and opportunities for improvement and engagement. The position requires a detailed and organizational approach to navigating complex challenges to lead an ever growing portfolio while consistently running important historical programs!

  • Implement project plans for government relations initiatives, outlining objectives, timelines, resources, and deliverables.

  • Provide regular updates on project status, milestones, and outcomes. Collect feedback from stakeholders and project participants to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies governing government relations activities and project implementation.

  • Manage GR budgets to optimize resource allocation and align with strategic goals, including forecasting, tracking expenses, and maximizing cost-effectiveness.

  • Manage the PAC process, including the Steering Committee, budget, meetings, collateral, scheduling and compliance.

  • Aid in the development of campaign briefs and materials that articulate the goals, strategy and execution plan for the campaign.

  • Liaise and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure aligned objectives.

  • Help to establish metrics to evaluate post campaign analysis.

  • Help manage timelines, resources and budget to maximize efficiency and impact.

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $117,800.00 - $188,200.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC and may not be applicable to other locations.In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

Who you are

  • Bachelors + 8 years of related experience, or equivalent.

  • Experience with project management, specifically in the government relations arena.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work output, especially when project managing and during cross functional activities.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and concisely.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with legislative tracking software, such as Quorum, or databases is preferred.
