About the team

The Bridge Platform Team is responsible for maintaining the infrastructure, ETL pipelines, and services for the Bridge suite of products: Bridge Platform, Bridge API, and Bridge Agreement Management. The team was originally part of the Vancouver-based startup “Retsly” which was acquired by Zillow Group in 2014. The team is responsible for importing, serving, and managing data from over 300 distinct sources and powers the data distribution for major MLS systems and unique Zillow datasets. As an integral part of the MLS ecosystem, we pride ourselves on high uptime, data quality, and API functionality.

About the role

This role will primarily involve developing and maintaining our ETL pipeline and supporting systems, the majority of which are written in Node.js. We manage all of our own AWS resources and operate primarily in a dockerized environment. Due to the essential nature of our services we have an on-call rotation that works out to 1 week of on call every 1 and a half months. The workload is very consistent with little to no crunch periods.

This role has been categorized as a teleworker position. Teleworkers do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any part of Mexico, but preferably in Mexico City, as we would encourage attendance for occasional in-office events.

In addition to a competitive base salary and benefits, this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location.

Who you are

We're looking for someone who:

  • Must be proficient with JavaScript, preferably with Node.js experience.
  • Has backend programming experience, beyond just configuring high-level tools.
  • Is familiar with Linux.
  • Has some experience with AWS, though we can be more flexible with this requirement.
