About the role

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead and establish a new team of engineers within the Touring and Connections organization. This is an outstanding opportunity to shape a team from the ground up, with the potential to hire 4 new engineers. You'll manage the team's performance and drive the delivery of high-quality products. Your work will improve how we connect home shoppers with outstanding real estate agents and facilitate the journey toward finding their dream home.

You Will Get To:

  • Lead the development of both native mobile and web software systems, fostering a creative and collaborative environment while navigating complex technical challenges.

  • Conduct regular code and design reviews to ensure high-quality software development.

  • Collaborate with other teams to understand and translate business needs into technical requirements.

  • Manage project timelines, resources, and stakeholder communication.

  • Mentor and guide team members, encouraging professional growth and continuous learning.

  • Implement and manage software development best practices and processes.

  • Evaluate and adopt new technologies and tools as required.

  • Participate in the hiring process for new team members, shaping the composition and abilities of the team.

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $165,600.00 - $264,500.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC and may not be applicable to other locations.In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

Who you are


  • You have a minimum of 2 years of leadership experience, either in a people management or team lead role, with demonstrated examples of mentoring and growing a diverse team of engineers.

  • You have more than 3 years of professional experience in software development, specializing in the creation of mobile applications.

  • You embrace an iterative approach to software development, using engineering metrics to guide team processes and inform decision-making.

  • You are a self-motivated individual with the ability to adapt to complex environments and lead projects to successful completion.

  • You exemplify a collaborative leadership style that cultivates highly-connected teams, particularly within a remote work setting.
