In this role you will have the opportunity to:
- Manage a team of two direct reports;
- Support the annual, quarterly and monthly financial reporting processes - reviewing and assisting with the preparation of financial statements and associated note disclosures under IFRS;
- Responsibility for the review and accuracy of financial reporting packages for the Company’s internal and external stakeholders;
- Oversee the accounting and administration of the stock-based compensation plans;
- Responsible for the year end audit process and deliverables;
- Ensure the accuracy of financial entries, documents and reports;
- Work on some cool projects including process improvement, controls documentation, implementing new technologies to help us improve our efficiencies;

Skills you will bring:
- Financial accounting experience including CPA designation;
- Strong technical understanding of IFRS required, US GAAP nice to have;
- Ambitious and a self-starter who thrives in a fast paced, growing and dynamic environment;
- Natural curiosity: if something seems off, you want to figure out what’s going on;
- Passion for the continuous improvement of processes; actively looks for efficiencies;
- Excellent verbal and written communicator and able to convey complex ideas succinctly;
- Loves numbers, organized, and strong Excel skills;
- Attention to detail and ability to work with autonomy;
- Knowledge of fintech, tech and/or financial services industries is nice to have.
Compensation & Equity
🤑 Base salary range: For this role, candidates located in Canada can expect a base salary range of CAD $152,000 - $190,000. Actual compensation is determined based on skills, experience, and role level. Exceptional candidates may be considered above the top of the range, and pay can increase quickly for those who make a big impact in the role.
🚀 Total compensation: In addition to base salary, this role includes equity compensation. We use clear job levels and market-based salary bands to ensure compensation is fair and consistent across the company.
