WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

You will join our data platform organisation and be responsible for building the foundational tools & data models that our wider data community rely on. Your success will be measured by the ease with which our organisation is able to leverage data to make rapid, high-quality decisions across all roles and departments, while remaining robust to rapid growth in data volume and analytical complexity. To achieve this, you will:

• Design, develop, and maintain the core tools, frameworks, and data models that power our analytics ecosystem, including data pipeline development/deployment, data lake exploration, self-service dashboarding, user documentation, data observability;
• Work closely with data professionals across the business to understand their needs, gather feedback, and continuously improve the platform experience;
• Integrate regulatory and security requirements into everything we build, supporting minimal effort audit and data security/compliance in a highly regulated financial environment;
• Drive operational excellence by empowering colleagues to monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize their data workloads to ensure reliability, scalability, and a seamless user experience;
• Support global product launches with critical real-time analytics & insights.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• At least 5 years of analytics or data engineering experience, ideally as part of a data platform organisation/team
• Solid understanding of data architectures, design principles and engineering best practices
• Solid understanding of data modelling principles & trade-offs
• Demonstrated product & platform mindset
• Experience across all stages of the data lifecycle: scoping, ingestion, transformation, operation
• Experience with our tech stack is a bonus: S3/Airflow/Python/DBT/Metabase
