WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
The Data Platform team at Trade Republic builds a scalable, secure, and cost-efficient platform that empowers teams to innovate and make data-driven decisions. We provide self-service tools for data ingestion, pipeline development, workload orchestration, dashboard creation, and data discovery.
Our products are developed using Python and SQL, leveraging AWS, Terraform, GitHub Actions, Kafka, Spark, Flink, and observability tools built on the LGTM stack.
- Design and develop data-intensive systems for large-scale data ingestion, processing, and storage.
- Build resilient systems to process millions of events daily, driving informed decision-making.
- Take full ownership of services and products across the entire lifecycle, from ideation to operation.
- Collaborate across functions, mentor colleagues, and provide continuous feedback to drive team growth and future-focused solutions.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Background in Software/System Engineering with experience building production-grade data-intensive systems.
- Proficient in system design and scaling strategies, balancing trade-offs like availability vs consistency and latency vs throughput.
- Strong problem-solving skills, tackling complex engineering challenges with a focus on results rather than specific tools or languages.
- Hands-on with infrastructure, cloud-based distributed systems, and infrastructure-as-code, with a passion for knowledge sharing and team growth.
