WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
The Application Platform team supports autonomy of engineers by building self-service platforms, providing Kubernetes for compute, enabling service communication with Kafka and AWS Kinesis, and offering data storage with AWS RDS and Cassandra.
- Ensure system scalability, stability, and availability through automation, proactive problem prevention, and promoting a culture of ownership.
- Enhance monitoring and alerting systems, enabling full observability for mission-critical applications with metrics like latency, availability, and health.
- Design and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure using AWS and Terraform, while advancing CI/CD pipelines for faster, automated software delivery.
- Foster team growth by sharing knowledge, providing constructive feedback, and offering guidance to colleagues.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR
- Experience in software engineering, including cloud, infrastructure, distributed systems, and networking.
- Expertise in managing business-critical systems in cloud environments with a focus on observability and scalability.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, with emphasis on engineering versatility over specific tools or frameworks.
- Strong ownership, communication skills, and a drive to create impact while empowering colleagues.
