Position Overview:

Professional Services helps restaurants thrive in a time of increasing complexity by connecting them with expert solutions to make technology effortless. We aim to advise, resolve our customers’ most important challenges, and equip them with the tools and knowledge to get the most out of Toast.

The Senior Consultant, Professional Services is dedicated to executing the highest level offerings of our paid Professional Services program, with a focus on large-scale menu configuration & consultation projects for Toast’s most advanced customers across market segments. This will include working closely with customers, partners, and teams across Toast to scope, manage, and deliver Professional Services offerings. This individual should be comfortable dealing with uncertainty, and be able to put structure to complex customer challenges in order to deliver services within defined SLAs.

This person is a passionate, process-focused professional that is an expert of the restaurant industry with a love of hospitality and a knack for problem solving. Senior Consultants are expected to work autonomously, act as a peer-leader and mentor to their teammates, and be an escalation point when the manager is unavailable. They must be able to self-manage and self-prioritize their workload and cases based on customer needs and Toast requirements. They are strategic thinkers who can help shape the future of the team.

About the Roll* (Responsibilities)

  • Scope, manage, and execute the most complex Professional Services projects to the complete satisfaction of Toast Customers
  • Take a solutions oriented, consultative approach to problem solving complex challenges for Professional Services customers
  • Contribute to expanding the reach of the Professional Services program by developing, piloting, and implementing new service offerings
  • Partner with PS Leadership on creating, and improving upon, processes and standards that will allow for Professional Services product growth and team scalability
  • Regularly hit weekly, monthly, and quarterly goals and SLAs including (but not limited to) billable project hours and utilization
  • Document customer interactions with a high level of detail
  • Model excellent communication both internally and externally
  • Respectfully hold internal and external stakeholders accountable for milestones and delivery commitments
  • Act as a point of escalation for other Professional Services projects
  • Mentor junior members of the Professional Services team
  • Execute in-person workshops as needed for Services engagements
  • Embody Toast’s Values and always represent Toast internally and externally with the utmost professionalism
  • Adopt a spirit of continuous improvement for self and team and regularly seek out professional development opportunities and enablement

Do you have the right ingredients? * (Requirements)

  • Combined 5+ years experience in the POS or Tech industry
  • Deep experience and familiarity with restaurants and restaurant consulting
  • Expert understanding of restaurant technology
  • Expert knowledge of Multi-Location/Enterprise-level industry standards and best practices
  • Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and writing skills
  • Highly motivated, passionate over achiever, team player, facilitator
  • Adaptable and professional in the face of challenging situations
  • Able to self-manage & self-prioritize multiple complex tasks at once
  • Passionate about technology and hospitality
  • Able to travel and work nights and weekends when needed

  • Expert product knowledge of all Toast Core POS modules, technology areas, and methodologies
  • Expert product knowledge of Toast Multi-Location functionalities
  • Expert ability to craft, and advise on, menus within the Toast platform; catered to each Professional Services customer based on restaurant type and market segment

The base salary range for this role is listed below. The starting salary will be determined based on skills and experience. In addition to base salary, our total rewards components include cash compensation (overtime, bonus/commissions if eligible), equity, and benefits.

$87,000$139,000 USD
