At Strava, we know our employees are the most important ingredient to our success, and our compensation and total rewards programs reflect that. We take a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on the department and your location. Salary ranges are categorized into one of three zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. We will determine the candidate’s starting pay based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. We may modify these ranges in the future.

Our mission is simple: to motivate people to live their best active lives. We believe in the power of movement to connect and drive people forward.

We’re looking for an experienced Workday enthusiast to serve as a partner and right hand to our Senior HRIS Analyst in configuring our robust People Systems. In this role you can play a critical part in supporting our high performing, people-oriented workplace. You will work closely with our People team leaders, our People business partners, our Talent team, and with teammates at all levels across Strava. Specifically, you will be a key player in our Workday, HR Systems and people operations processes.

Help shape how Strava’s team and culture grows as we approach our next inflection point. As a member of the People team and reporting to the Senior HRIS Analyst, you will help carry our truly “people-first” culture and continually improve our employee experience via contributing to our People processes, programs and projects. We are passionate about supporting each of our teammates by building equitable and inclusive policies, programs, and practices. It is important that our HRIS Specialist share similar passions and is committed to helping incorporate these strategies and policies into Strava's culture and processes over time.

We’re a fast-growing, global company with 700+ employees and 10+ offices around the world. Our culture is rooted in teamwork, connection, and high standards. If you’re passionate about creating a world connected through movement—and building a healthy, high-performing team—this is your opportunity.

We follow a flexible hybrid model that generally translates to more than half your time on-site in our San Francisco office— three days per week.

What You'll Do:

  • HRIS Support: Serve as Workday primary point-of-contact for day-to-day support and administration to ensure consistent, high-quality business operations

    • Provide functional support and SME guidance to team members for various Workday modules including but not limited to HCM, Benefits, Compensation, Time Tracking, and Absence

    • Support and testing for Workday system updates or upgrades

    • Configure and maintain Workday business processes, security, reports, and dashboards

    • Assist in end-to-end Workday projects including module implementations, integrations, and process redesigns while managing timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communications

    • Identify system gaps and deficiencies, and if applicable, suggest best practices or process improvements to help fill those gaps

    • Resolve data discrepancies and conduct frequent audits to ensure data integrity, consistency, and accuracy.

  • People Operations: Partner with our HR team and other internal stakeholders to help them define solutions using Workday

  • People Teammate: Stay closely connected and aligned with our broader People team; contributing as an integral member of the People team, participating in weekly meetings and social events when and where able.

    • Build relationships and trust with our teammates to be their support system and ensure they feel connected to the broader team

  • Employee Engagement: Work closely with the entire People team on company culture, our programs and people-approach that blend data insights with care and empathy

What You'll Bring to the Team:

  • 3+ years of experience in HR/HRIS/Systems systems with strong knowledge and at least 2+ years experience operating Workday

  • Highly organized, excellent facilitator and listener with a balanced and thoughtful approach, who is adept at building trust with others

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to set clear expectations with stakeholders and escalate issues as needed

  • High attention to detail and sense of urgency

  • Highly accountable and organizationally minded individual who is skilled at process and project management, and who can carry many simultaneous initiatives forward and prioritize fluidly as needs change

  • Possesses and demonstrates a growth mindset, the desire to learn and continually improve, and to help others do the same
