At Strava, we know our employees are the most important ingredient to our success, and our compensation and total rewards programs reflect that. We take a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on the department and your location. Salary ranges are categorized into one of three zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. We will determine the candidate’s starting pay based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. We may modify these ranges in the future.

About Strava

Strava is the app for active people. With over 180 million athletes in more than 185 countries, it’s more than tracking workouts—it’s where people make progress together, from new habits to new personal bests. No matter your sport or how you track it, Strava’s got you covered. Find your crew, crush your goals, and make every effort count. Start your journey with Strava today.

Our mission is simple: to motivate people to live their best active lives. We believe in the power of movement to connect and drive people forward.

As the Senior Growth Marketing Manager, Marketing Technology, you will serve as the campaign systems lead behind those athlete experiences — designing and building scalable marketing systems in partnership with Retention, Acquisition, and Engineering. In this role, you’ll translate Strava’s growth and lifecycle goals into system configurations, targeting strategies, and campaign frameworks that scale across channels and regions.

We follow a flexible hybrid model that translates to more than half of your time on-site in our New York office — three days per week.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own the configuration, health, and evolution of Strava’s consolidated marketing automation platforms, driving continuous optimization at scale

  • Architect self-service systems that enable Marketing to independently execute high-quality campaigns — with strong adoption, documentation, and governance

  • Lead complex MarTech solutioning for advanced use cases, including real-time personalization, cross-channel orchestration, experimentation frameworks, and emerging channel capabilities

  • Partner closely with Comms Platform Engineering — translating Marketing needs into build requirements and leveraging deep 3P expertise to shape scalable 1P solutions

  • Extend MarTech foundations to Acquisition, supporting paid media execution, attribution, and compliance across the full funnel

  • Drive AI adoption where it delivers real impact, maximizing in-platform capabilities, prototyping new solutions, and informing Engineering’s roadmap

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

  • 7+ years of experience in marketing technology, marketing automation, or lifecycle marketing, with at least 3 years in a systems or platform ownership role

  • Cross-channel MarTech experience spanning both lifecycle/CRM (email, push, in-app, SMS) and acquisition tech (MMPs, ad platform integrations, attribution, privacy/consent compliance)

  • Deep technical proficiency with enterprise marketing automation platforms (e.g., Braze, Iterable, Salesforce Marketing Cloud) including hands-on experience with platform configuration, data integration (APIs, JSON, ETLs), and system design

  • Strong grasp of data flows between 1P and 3P systems — you can guide campaign design, establish experimentation guardrails, and ensure Marketing builds on solid foundations

  • Proven ability to partner with Engineering to define requirements, translate business needs into technical specs, and collaborate on custom solutions

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills — you can influence across Marketing, Product, Data, and Engineering, and present technical strategies to non-technical audiences

  • Experience leading platform migrations or consolidations is strongly preferred
