The Senior Paralegal functions as the assistant to the Legal team.
About the role
Be a skilled drafter of various litigation, transaction and compliance documents supporting legal initiatives with minimal oversight and be able to seek and incorporate feedback from stakeholders
Analyze information, perform legal research, investigate facts, draft pleadings and motions and prepare legal documents and reports
Have a strong understanding of business operations and process and of the key legal and regulatory issues impacting their area of focus
Communicate effectively with other teams with respect to issues of questions that arise during the trust review
Assist with other Legal team projects or new matters as assigned
Assist team members with questions that arise regarding origination and servicing matters
Have the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced working environment
Exercise independent judgment and assist leaders and team members through clear and concise communication
Assist Counsel in litigation matters
About you
Minimum Qualifications
Legal experience in the areas of estate planning, trust administration and real estate law required
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a law-related field
3 years of experience
Mortgage-related legal or compliance expertise, including prior experience with mortgage underwriting or loan origination
