Executive Vice President, Performance Marketing

As the Executive Vice President (EVP), Performance Marketing, you will lead all direct response advertising across the company and its portfolio of brands, driving measurable revenue growth while improving customer acquisition efficiency. You will oversee a large performance marketing organization responsible for optimizing growth across channels including search, social, programmatic, direct mail, affiliates, and lead buying. The role combines rigorous performance management, advanced optimization techniques, and the adoption of emerging technologies to continuously enhance marketing effectiveness and scalability. The EVP partners closely with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and other senior executives while collaborating with brand marketing teams to execute a full funnel strategy that accelerates sustainable growth across the company’s brands.
About the role
- Lead all performance marketing and direct response advertising activities across the company and its portfolio of brands
- Oversee the strategy and investment of a large-scale, multi-channel marketing budget, ensuring maximum revenue generation while lowering customer acquisition costs
- Drive performance across all major direct response channels including paid search, paid social, programmatic, direct mail, affiliates, and lead buy
- Advance marketing performance through sophisticated campaign management, structured experimentation frameworks, advanced attribution models, and AI-enabled optimization techniques
- Lead the development and testing of innovative creative approaches including AI-generated creative, dynamic creative optimization, and emerging direct response formats
- Lead and develop a high performing team of performance marketers, analysts and channel specialists while building a strong culture of accountability, experimentation, and continuous improvement
- Build and manage strategic relationships with external advertising agencies while continuously evaluating the optimal balance of in-house capabilities and external partners
- Partner closely with brand marketing leaders to execute a coordinated, full-funnel marketing strategy that integrates brand and performance initiatives
- Deliver clear reporting and insights on marketing performance, investment efficiency and growth opportunities to senior leadership and the board
- Serve as a senior enterprise leader contributing to company strategy, growth planning and operational decision making
- Champion a culture of performance, experimentation, accountability and continuous improvement across the marketing organization
About you
Minimum Qualifications
- 20 years of experience in performance marketing, growth marketing, direct response advertising or other highly measurable customer acquisition disciplines
- 10 years of leadership experience managing large, high-performing, multi-channel marketing organizations
- Proven track record of managing large-scale marketing investment portfolios and delivering measurable revenue growth while improving customer acquisition efficiency and return on marketing investment (ROMI)
- Deep expertise across major direct response channels including paid search, paid social, programmatic, email, affiliate, and direct mail
- Demonstrated success optimizing marketing performance through advanced campaign management techniques including value-based bidding, structured experimentation frameworks and AI-enabled optimization
- Experience leading large internal performance marketing teams while managing strategic agency partnerships
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate complex performance data into clear insights and actionable growth strategies
- Excellent executive communication and presentation skills with experience engaging C-suite executives, senior leadership teams, and boards of directors
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in complex, high-growth, data-drive and performance-oriented environments
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, analytics, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in marketing, business, analytics or a related field
- Experience managing very large-scale, multi-channel advertising budgets ($500M+) across multiple brands or business lines
- Experience leveraging advanced AI, machine learning, and marketing automation tools to enhance marketing performance and creative development
- Experience in financial services, fintech, technology or large-scale consumer marketplace industries
