As Vice President of Brand Media, you’ll lead Rocket’s brand media strategy and execution across all upper-funnel channels, ensuring the brand’s media presence aligns with organizational mission and transforms the housing experience through radical simplicity, trust, and innovation. You’ll own the end-to-end development and delivery of brand campaigns—from planning and investment strategy to partnership execution—while mentoring a high-performing team and managing agency relationships. This role is pivotal in building a full-funnel, integrated media system alongside performance marketing, SEO, CRM, and creative leadership.
About the role
Lead the strategic development of brand media campaigns across all channels: TV (national/local), digital video, streaming, audio, OOH, sponsorships, and emerging media.
Develop long-term brand media plans aligning with Rocket’s business goals, brand positioning, and cultural ambition.
Integrate media strategy with SEO, CRM, and Performance Media to deliver consistent user journeys.
Maintain a comprehensive understanding of media and competitor landscapes to proactively identify growth opportunities.
Oversee briefing, planning, and execution of brand campaigns in partnership with agency and creative teams.
Ensure use of data, insights, and measurement frameworks (MMM, incrementality, brand lift, MTA) in every campaign.
Champion innovation by testing new platforms, formats, and partnerships to increase brand impact.
Guide campaign architecture development, ensuring alignment with performance initiatives.
Lead and develop brand media professionals, building strategic, business, and leadership skills.
Foster a high-performance, high-trust culture.
Support team development with structured feedback and growth planning.
Cultivate and evolve a culture based on accountability, curiosity, and courage.
Manage agency relationships ensuring alignment, quality, and accountability.
Cultivate top-tier media relationships and partnerships to elevate Rocket’s industry presence.
Evaluate and guide brand sponsorships and co-branded initiatives.
Lead business reviews with media partners to reflect Rocket’s strategic priorities
About you
Minimum qualifications
10+ years of experience in brand media strategy, planning, and execution across traditional and digital channels.Proven success driving impact for high-profile brands with a mix of upper-funnel and integrated campaign experience.
Deep knowledge of media planning, investment strategy, and performance measurement.
Experience leading media agency relationships and cross-functional marketing teams
Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills; comfortable with both operational detail and executive engagement.Experience integrating SEO, CRM, performance marketing, sports and entertainment partnerships, and audience strategies into brand media planning
Preferred qualifications
Experience in a Fortune 500 or similarly large, matrixed organization.
Experience in financial services, insurance, or ecommerce industries.
Prior leadership of large-scale media budgets ($100M+ annually).
Demonstrated success in both agency and client-side media roles.
Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
Strong network of senior industry contacts within the media, advertising, and publishing sectors.
Track record of building and stewarding breakthrough brand partnerships and sponsorships.
Experience with global media strategy in B2B and B2C and cross-cultural campaign adaptation.
Proficiency with advanced marketing analytics platforms and ad tech solutions.
Public speaking experience and thought leadership in media or marketing forums.
Comfortable navigating and influencing executive and board-level stakeholders.

Colorado, New York City, Jersey City, California, D.C and Washington Candidates only: the salary range for this position is one hundred seventy-nine thousand five hundred dollars to four hundred three thousand dollars. The position may also be eligible for an annual bonus and other employment-related benefits including, but not limited to, medical, dental, and vision benefits, 401K retirement plan, and paid-time off.
