As a Senior Counsel - Employment Litigation, you'll have an integral role setting litigation strategy across myriad subject areas including employment law, financial services, vendor and contractual disputes, regulatory compliance, fair lending, and governmental investigations. You will work closely with business leaders to help balance proactive risk mitigation and strategic litigation to reduce obstacles and provide simple, effective, solutions to bolster business objectives.
About the Role
Serve as internal team expert on employment litigation while managing outside counsel across a varied portfolio of employment cases
Balance business, regulatory, and compliance issues against litigation strategy while providing proactive guidance and solutions to business leaders
Manage a varied commercial litigation portfolio including financial services, business-to-business, and general complex commercial litigation matters
Be a resource for current trends in employment and other litigation impacting the business and advise the business on applicable policies, procedures, statutes, and regulations
Apply a team-first approach to litigation strategy and management to provide solid strategic foundations combines with proactive identification of litigation trends, internal improvements, and business solutions to effectively mitigate risk
About You
Minimum Qualifications
Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
7-10 years of experience in employment and complex commercial litigation, with a demonstrated track record of success.
Strong knowledge of employment laws, including Title VII, the ADEA, the ADA, and the FLSA, as well as financial services regulations, such as the FCRA, TILA, and RESPA.
Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
Proven ability to manage complex litigation matters and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
Demonstrated commitment to professional development and a collaborative work style.
Preferred Qualifications
Proven experience in handling governmental investigations, internal and external investigations, and administrative and agency action.
