Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar technical subjects or at least 3 years of related work experience
- Proficiency in scripting languages (eg, PowerShell) for automation and configuration management tasks
- Proficiency with enterprise-level administration of network services such as DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP and troubleshooting
- Ability to participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment, security, and high availability
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Proficient in Slack, Zoom, Teams Voice technology, M365, Azure AD / Microsoft Entra ID, DNS, PowerShell scripting, PowerShell using M365 modules, and regular interaction with cross functional teams, clients and vendors
- Experience with taking projects from initial concept through planning and implementation
- Technical certifications (MTA, MCSA, MCITP, MCSE, AZ900 etc.)
- Comfort with mentoring systems engineers on technology or skills for which you're the subject matter expert
- Ability to architect, design and implement a system fully from concept to implementation
Job Summary
As a Collaboration Systems Engineer, you'll be responsible for managing and maintaining the infrastructure of our Slack, M365 (Microsoft Teams) and Zoom environment. This includes understanding the software, architecture, authentication mechanisms, add-ons and integrations.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Slack, MS Teams (M365), and Zoom ensuring high availability and reliability
- Understand Slack, MS Teams (M365), and Zoom software and architecture to optimize performance and scalability
- Implement and manage authentication mechanisms and security features within the environment
- Oversee the integration of add-ons and plugins to enhance functionality
- Ensure seamless integration with other systems and applications
- Provide technical expertise and support for troubleshooting and resolving issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support various business units and usage
- Partner with vendors to rollout and resolve issues as identified related to new and upgraded capabilities
- Provide operational support and configurations for Microsoft Teams Rooms and related devices
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and determine root cause for call quality or meeting quality issues
- Ensure all infrastructure components meet proper performance and capacity standards (scalability)
- Seek out automation opportunities to build consistency and quality with speed
- Research and implement new technologies
- Provide tier 3 support for Help Desk/Desktop personnel
- Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to after-hours escalations
- Troubleshoot production issues and analyze failures to minimize outages and interruptions
- Conduct training and knowledge sharing sessions to educate IT teams and end-users
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices
- Collaborate with vendors and external partners as needed to support migration and ongoing operations
- Ability to document and maintain technical knowledge base
