Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Indirect Procurement Experience
- Experience with negotiating Professional Service Agreements
- 3 years of management and administration experience
Job Summary
As a Procurement Category Manager, you'll research, evaluate, monitor and strategize procurement operations, ensure goods and services are delivered efficiently and meet or exceed agreed parameters and work to optimize costs and services delivered.
Responsibilities
- Communicate and embody the culture and mission of the company
- Lead procurement activities for the acquisition of goods and services
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure advantageous pricing, terms and maintain strong relationships
- Maintain effective communication with leadership regarding developments within areas of assigned responsibilities and perform special projects as required or requested
- Drive sourcing strategy (RFI/Q/P, reverse auction, or other sourcing techniques) and ensure alignment with business partner on strategy
- Conduct market research and partner with innovative suppliers
- Develop and execute holistic procurement strategy for leading category/business area
- Responsible for negotiating commercial terms, including scope and service level agreements, and collaborating with Legal and Vendor Risk Management to leverage their expertise during vendor contract negotiations
- Ensure contracts are renewed timely
