POSITION SUMMARY
The Building Automation Control Engineer (internally titled Control Engineer) is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and analyzing the Bedrock integrated building management system for the Detroit and Cleveland portfolio. This position’s primary goal is to optimize the Building Management System control strategies, ensure the systems are performing at optimal efficiency to achieve the Bedrock Tenant comfort experience. The ability to adhere to quality and the Bedrock Smart Building Specification is crucial. This position is also responsible for assisting our stakeholders and Controls Team through concept planning, configuration, development, testing, troubleshooting and repairs for the integrated portfolio to include various control systems, mechanical systems, and lighting systems.
Essential Functions
Captures and documents customer system/hardware/software requirements
Specifies, designs, and develops control system electronics hardware, sensors, and actuators
Designs and develops system wiring, including wiring schematics, conductor, connector, and terminal selection
Designs, develops, and verifies software and control algorithms to meet requirements
Develops system plant models for control system development
Performs data analysis and system control tuning/calibration
Performs system testing and troubleshooting, ensuring a control system meets requirements
Effectively interfaces with co-workers and customers in meetings
Regular and routine onsite or remote attendance
All other duties as assigned
Position Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience working in an Information Technology Field
Preferred Position Requirements
Distech and Johnson Controls programming experience
Ax and N4 Niagara certified
