POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Hospitality Manager works closely with the Vice President of Hospitality on strategic initiatives within the Bedrock portfolio. The role will contribute and support operational and financial success for the hospitality portfolio. Additional responsibilities include seeking and securing new business opportunities and expanding existing ones through a combination of prospecting, networking, and relationship building. This role also includes financial modeling, quantitative and qualitative analyses, evaluation of portfolio opportunities, underwriting, negotiation of contracts and closing deals.
ESSENTIAL FUNTIONS
Contribute and support the development and implementation of strategic plans for hospitality development that aligns with the overall vision and goals of mix-use projects
Leads financial modeling and analytical support for strategic business decisions related to Bedrock’s hospitality investments and opportunities, including acquisition, disposition, and ongoing operational processes
Contribute, and in some cases lead, contract negotiations and/or agreements, including summaries and analysis, for Ground Leases, Management Contracts, Franchise Agreements, License Agreements, Loan Agreements, etc.
Collaborate with hotel operators, management companies, as well as other internal and external partners, to ensure a seamless integration of hotel operations within the mixed-use environment
Develop and implement operational plans that maximize guest satisfaction and operational efficiencies
May lead the pre-opening process of the pipeline assets, including coordinating with management companies, vendors, and property teams
Gathers and analyzes market intelligence to provide informed underwriting guidance and up-to-date information on hotel market performance metrics, recent transactions, current market dynamics, significant development that impacts the lodging market, and property values
Works collaboratively across Acquisition, Accounting, Asset Management, Corporate Finance, Tax, Accounting, Design and Construction, and other internal teams to obtain data relevant to analysis and modeling functions
Prepares investment recommendations, including written descriptions, quantitative and qualitative analyses, and presentations for the Vice President of Hospitality and Bedrock’s senior leadership team
Evaluates and provides recommendations for brand opportunities within the current portfolio and prospective acquisitions
Researches and stays current on market trends and economics, locally, nationally, and more broadly, affecting the hospitality industry and specific dynamics in the markets in which the assets are situated
Establishes, monitors, and maintains project budgets to meet project milestones

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, finance, business, or similar, or the equivalent education, training, and experience (required)
10+ years of experience in a comparable professional role in hospitality, finance, investing, analytics (required)
Minimum 8 years of experience in mix-use projects, with a focus on hospitality (strongly preferred)
Prior experience at a real estate services, investment, or development company (strongly preferred)
3-5 years of experience in financial modeling and quantitative analysis (preferred)
3-5 years of experience in a deal-making position (preferred)
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively
Strong knowledge base of the local market trends, demographics, location regulations, and industry connections
Excellent interpersonal communication, relationship building, and networking skills
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; MS Excel, SQL/modeling platforms/reporting
Ability to understand and utilize data (both quantitative and qualitative) to accurately diagnose key issues and develop strategies and plans
Ability to work independently and achieve results on own initiative as well as in cross-functional teams
Excellent analytical and organizational skills
Strong communication skills - written, verbal, and technical
