About the role
Risk at Revolut operates across all functions, products, and regions to monitor front-line performance and ensure the business operates safely. They’re among the first to be involved in new initiatives, from tech to customer support.
We’re looking for a Senior Financial Risk Manager to identify, quantify, and manage financial and trading risk. You’ll join the second line of defense (2LoD) to ensure that first-line businesses properly manage risks and controls.
You'll work closely with Treasury, Finance, Operations, Technology, and the broader Risk team to independently assess and oversee risk-taking activities.
Up to shape what's next in finance? Let's get in touch.
What you'll be doing

- Ensuring compliance with US regulatory frameworks (e.g., Dodd-Frank, Federal Reserve, and OCC guidelines) and leading the response to financial risk regulatory changes
- Developing and implementing stress-testing frameworks (consistent with regulatory principles), and participating in the Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP)
- Embedding the risk management framework, including risk identification, control effectiveness testing, breach remediation, and ongoing monitoring
- Modelling financial risks under various stress scenario methodologies with appropriate calibrations
- Governing regulatory reporting, ensuring accurate and timely submissions to US regulators (e.g., FR Y-9C, FFIEC reports)
- Challenging the 1LoD on emerging financial risks and conducting new product approval (NPA) risk assessments
- Monitoring exposures against internal and regulatory limits (liquidity coverage ratio, net stable funding ratio)
- Promoting a pragmatic risk culture that balances rigorous oversight with the need for sustainable, high-velocity growth
What you'll need
- Expertise in financial risk management within US-based multi-asset investment firms, broker-dealers, or Tier 1/Tier 2 banks
- Quantitative proficiency to build and challenge complex risk models, including sensitivity analysis and back-testing
- A solid understanding of US financial regulations (e.g., SEC, FINRA, and Federal Reserve requirements)
- Deep market insight of US and global financial markets, trading products, and key capital/liquidity drivers
- Excellent execution skills, including stakeholder management and the ability to design enterprise risk management (ERM) frameworks from the ground up
- Impressive data analytics skills, including proficiency in SQL, Python, or R to extract insights and automate risk monitoring
- A bachelor's degree in finance, economics, engineering, or a highly quantitative field
Nice to have
- Scale-up exposure in high-growth US fintechs or challenger banks
- An FRM (Financial Risk Manager), CFA, or PRM certification
- An MBA or master’s in financial engineering
Compensation range
- US: $162,000 - $180,000 gross annually*
- Other locations: Compensation will be discussed during the interview process
*Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, skills, and previous experience
