About the role
The Finance team keeps Revolut moving with clarity and confidence. From accounting to strategic support, they work across the business to assess risk, guide decisions, and drive growth. Their insight shapes everything from daily operations to long-term plans and plays a key role in how we scale.
We’re looking for a skilled and motivated US Tax Manager for state and local taxes (SALT). You'll report to our US Head of Tax and lead the establishment process for our SALT function within the US.

What you'll be doing
- Establishing a process for tax review and approval of all product launches in the US
- Ensuring SALT tax compliance as a business partner and as a governance function
- Working with business and product leads to implement operational tax advice, such as state and local income and franchise tax, indirect tax, and/or property tax
- Managing the provision of accurate tax advice to key stakeholders
- Implementing appropriate tax policies and internal control frameworks
- Supporting tax planning and consulting management on the potential impacts and requirements related to SALT tax legislation
- Reviewing state and local tax submissions, and liaising with external advisors and internal financial controllers
- Implementing automated tax reporting software solutions
- Ensuring on-time filing of local tax obligations
What you'll need
- Experience in industry and public accounting within banking, fintech, or fast moving multi-state US online retailer
- Experience managing end-to-end SALT compliance
- To be comfortable with the full tax lifecycle throughout the year
- Experience managing fillings of indirect taxes (sales tax, WA B&O, etc.)
- The ability to assess SALT implications of new product launches
- Solid independent, decision-making skills
- A project management focus with a thorough approach to getting things done
- Awareness and aptitude for staying current with new tax legislation developments, tracking state NOLs
- Experience with accounting systems, general ledger concepts, and third-party service providers
- Impressive in data analysis skills
Nice to have
- A CPA or equivalent accounting qualification
- Knowledge of tax technology (Avalara, TaxBit, CCH, Thomson Reuters, OneSource)
Compensation range
- US: $105,570 - $117,300 gross annually*
- Other locations: Compensation will be discussed during the interview process
*Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, skills, and previous experience
