About the role

Risk at Revolut operates across all functions, products, and regions to monitor front-line performance and ensure the business operates safely. They’re among the first to be involved in new initiatives, from tech to customer support.

We're looking for an Operational Risk Manager to play a key role in embedding Revolut’s global risk framework locally. You’ll help build a solid control environment across products and functions, ensuring our fast-growing operations remain safe and compliant with regulatory expectations.

What you'll be doing

  • Implementing Revolut’s Global Operational Risk Management Framework in Argentina, ensuring full alignment with BCRA and internal standards
  • Establishing effective governance, escalation, and reporting mechanisms for operational risk events
  • Conducting regular risk and control self-assessments (RCSAs) across core processes and new initiatives, maintaining the operational risk register and tracking remediation actions
  • Advising business units on risk mitigation, control effectiveness, and best practices
  • Leading incident management processes, including event capture, root cause analysis, and coordination of loss reporting with global risk teams
  • Developing and presenting operational risk reports, dashboards, and KRIs to local, regional, and global stakeholders
  • Managing third-party and outsourcing risks by overseeing due diligence, onboarding, and compliance with Revolut’s and BCRA’s outsourcing policies
  • Owning the BCP/BDR framework, ensuring operational resilience, conducting regular testing, and fostering a culture of proactive risk awareness across teams

What you'll need

  • 5+ years of experience in operational risk, internal controls, or audit in banking or fintech
  • An understanding of control frameworks, like Basel II, COSO, and ISO 31000
  • Expertise in process mapping, RCSA, control testing, and remediation
  • A solid grasp of governance and control environments
  • Familiarity with fintech risks in payments, cards, lending, fraud, and AML
  • Knowledge of Argentina’s regulatory frameworks (BCRA, UIF, AML)
  • Experience building or managing BCP/BDR frameworks
  • Fluency in English and Spanish

Nice to have

  • Experience using data analytics or visualization tools for risk monitoring and reporting
  • Familiarity with automation and process optimization tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Figma) to improve control effectiveness
  • A proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional, fast-paced environments with diverse business and technical stakeholders
