About the role

The Finance team is an integral part of any business. At Revolut, we take that one step further. Our global fintech would be lost without them. They’re more than just an important part of the business — they’re our backbone.

Internal accounting? That’s a good start. Supporting all areas of the company and assessing financial implications from various key strategic decisions and growth opportunities — this is what our financial people do all day long.

Are you ready to sit at the forefront of global financial regulation?

We're looking for a Regulatory Reporting Controller who'll combine data management and analysis to create our regulatory reports.

You’ll be compiling, reviewing, and managing all types of regulatory reports for Revolut New Zealand, so there’ll always be something to learn.

Up to shape the future of finance? Let’s get in touch.

What you’ll be doing

  • Producing and reviewing current regulatory reports, including capital, financial, liquidity, resolution, statistical returns, and Pillar III
  • Supporting the business with the launch of new products and initiatives, ensuring regulatory reporting requirements are being met
  • Assessing, developing, and maintaining proper controls, robust documentation, and change management approaches for all reporting areas
  • Communicating issues with appropriate data owners, and tracking them to ensure timely and appropriate resolutions
  • Staying current on new and evolving regulatory reporting requirements, assessing impact, and ensuring compliance for accurate reporting (Basel 3.1)
  • Working closely across departments to ensure regulatory reporting and decision support is of the highest possible standard
  • Developing the regulatory reporting framework and operating model

What you'll need

  • Either 4+ years of experience working in a compliance or reporting function for a bank (or similar regulated entity), or 4+ years of experience as a Consultant/Auditor in a Big 4 (or similar environment) in financial services
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills
  • The ability to make sense of regulations and develop processes and frameworks to compile new reports and enhance existing ones
  • To be a self-starter and independent worker
  • To be highly self-motivated with excellent interpersonal skills
  • The ability to relate to local cultural aspects while working in a highly diverse environment
  • Great organisation skills to plan and deliver to tight deadlines with close attention to detail

Nice to have

  • Experience working with financial regulators
  • Expertise working with IFRS and New Zealand accounting standards
  • Proficiency in regulatory reporting standard software (Adenza/Axiom)
  • Experience in regulatory policy
  • Knowledge of software or IT platform change initiatives
