About the role

Government Affairs sits within Global Affairs and is responsible for shaping the external regulatory environment to support Revolut’s growth and profitability, while driving innovation through regulation in a way which is positive for consumers, businesses, merchants, and broader society.

We're looking for a sharp, organised, and passionate Government Affairs professional to boost our engagement with EU policymakers, regulators, and other stakeholders to help deliver on our mission to improve all things money.

You'll be a key strategic advisor to our Product Owners, EU CEO, and management team, enabling them to successfully navigate the fast evolving regulatory landscape — from open data to crypto and credit.

Up to shape the future of finance? Let's get in touch.

What you’ll be doing

  • Analysing threats and opportunities, working with Product Owners, Branch Managers, and the EU management team to assess impact, prioritise issues, and develop best-in-class advocacy strategies
  • Reinforcing our network of trusted relationships across a range of institutions in Brussels (e.g. DG FISMA, DG COMP, EU Parliament)
  • Reinforcing our network of trusted relationships with relevant EU-level third parties (e.g. consumer, merchant, small business groups)
  • Leveraging external relationships, conducting public advocacy campaigns to secure key policy priorities to boost long-term growth and profitability
  • Coordinating closely on EU-level policy with our Government Affairs team, engaging EU Member States
  • Speaking publicly at events and to the press to inform policy debate

What you'll need

  • 7+ years of experience developing or influencing government or regulatory policy
  • An understanding of the difference between good politics and good policy, how policymakers and regulators think, and how to advocate for good outcomes
  • Knowledge of financial services regulations, such as payments and credit regulations (e.g. IFR, CCD), open banking (e.g. PSD2), crypto (e.g. MiCA), etc.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to deliver a message succinctly, ideally using data
  • The ability to work independently and with changing priorities
  • Solid interpersonal skills to build mutually respectful relationships with diverse teams and across stakeholders of varying seniority
  • To be comfortable and literate in using tech software to manage work streams
