We are looking for a skilled and motivated Jr. Tax Manager. This role will support the process to review product launches from a tax perspective and expansion globally within Revolut. The individual will partner with the business and oversee the build and implementation of tax process control tools across all relevant product areas. We need someone with energy and ideas who'll tackle any problem as well as the ability to roll your sleeves up and get involved.

What you’ll be doing
- Supporting the tax review of all product launches and expansion globally at Revolut
- Ensuring full compliance in tax matters as a business partner and as a governance function, driving tax compliance and efficiency
- Working with the tax manager, controller, and business and product leads to implementing operational tax advice, such as withholding tax or reporting on payouts
- Taking ownership of corporate tax compliance in Mexico
- Providing and managing the provision of accurate tax advice to key stakeholders
- Implementing appropriate tax policies and internal control frameworks
- Building relationships with various functional business heads, overseas offices, tax offices, and professional advisory firms to ensure a cohesive approach to managing tax issues
- Supporting tax planning and consulting initiatives, consulting management on the potential impacts and requirements related to direct tax legislation (including OECD initiatives)
- Reviewing local country tax submissions and liaising with external advisors and internal financial controllers
- Ensuring on-time filing of local country obligations
- Raising awareness and reporting risks and tax optimization opportunities
- Managing and mentoring staff, encouraging a collaborative team atmosphere
- Handling tax controversy management
- Providing local support for global statutory and consolidated income tax provisions and financial statement disclosures under IFRS and IFRS 102
- Drafting financial statement tax disclosures, including but not limited to tax accounting impacts on equity, income and non-income taxes, and statement of cash flows
- Implementing automated Tax Reporting software solutions
- Delivering a best-in-class business-as-usual Tax Reporting Framework (Accruals, True-ups, Balance Sheet Reconciliation)
- Preparing supporting memos to defend CT/DT positions on an ongoing basis
- Conducting periodical business reviews to identify tax-impacting transactions
- Establishing and maintaining robust controls, ensuring that the company’s income tax accounting review and documentation processes and related systems comply with Sarbanes-Oxley internal control requirements, driving towards a best-in-class SOX infrastructure
What you'll need
- Qualified accountant with experience in tax matters, with 4+ years of experience in a large multi-national and complex organisation
- Extensive technical knowledge of corporate tax, international tax, and VAT
- Exceptional analytical skills and a ‘hands on’ attitude
- Experience within a fast growing organisation
- Highly motivated, focused on delivery
- Excellent organisation skills: ability to plan and organise work so that it is efficient and effective
- You ideally have previous experience in a fast moving fin-tech organisation or a top-tier retail banking, fast growing international business
