Cloud Governance & Access Engineer – Cloud Operations – Bulgaria
BulgariaWho we are
We're Redis. We built the product that runs the fast apps our world runs on. (If you checked the weather, used your credit card, or looked at your flight status online today, you’re welcome.) At Redis, you’ll work with the fastest, simplest technology in the business—whether you’re building it, telling its story, or selling it to our 10,000+ worldwide customers. We’re creating a faster world with simpler experiences. You in?
The Role
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Production access governance & ownership: Own secure access to production systems across multi‑cloud environments end‑to‑end, including least-privileged provisioning, changes, and revocations, JIT and emergency access workflows, and escalation for access issues.
- Access automation, reviews & observability: Design and maintain automation, workflows, and reporting that standardize and scale access provisioning, approvals, and revocations, and enable regular access reviews, certifications, and risk‑based decisions.
- Secure connectivity & Zero‑Trust platform: Own and evolve production VPN and Zero‑Trust connectivity, administering platforms such as Twingate, enforcing access policies, monitoring patterns, and resolving connectivity risks while keeping the developer experience smooth.
- Domain, DNS & certificate lifecycle: Govern company domains and DNS, and manage TLS certificate issuance, renewal, rotation, and monitoring, using automation and alerting to prevent certificate‑related outages or misconfigurations.
- Operational governance & change safety: Define and maintain governance procedures and runbooks for access, connectivity, and certificates; execute changes under structured change‑management practices; and partner with CloudOps, Security, IT, and R&D to add guardrails that reduce human‑induced incidents and improve resilience.
What You’ll Bring to the team
- 5+ years of experience in Cloud Operations, SRE, Security Engineering, Platform Engineering, or similar roles with direct exposure to production environments.
- Hands-on experience with IAM models, production access workflows, least‑privilege practices, JIT access approaches, and operating VPN or Zero‑Trust connectivity platforms in distributed, cloud‑native environments.
- Practical experience building and maintaining tooling and automation (e.g., using Python, Go, Bash, or similar), including AI‑driven workflows, to scale and audit access, connectivity, and certificate management.
- Trusted with highly sensitive access, able to make sound decisions under pressure, and comfortable working within structured change‑management and governance frameworks while keeping execution pragmatic and efficient.
- Able to work effectively with globally distributed CloudOps, Security, IT, and R&D teams, balancing security requirements with developer productivity and business needs.
