We're Redis. We built the product that runs the fast apps our world runs on. (If you checked the weather, used your credit card, or looked at your flight status online today, you’re welcome.) At Redis, you’ll work with the fastest, simplest technology in the business—whether you’re building it, telling its story, or selling it to our 10,000+ worldwide customers. We’re creating a faster world with simpler experiences. You in?

Why You’ll Love This Role

We’re seeking a Legal Counsel, Commercial to join our collaborative Legal team. This role will support Redis’ Sales teams across the United States, as well as procurement globally.

You’ll gain hands-on experience with enterprise SaaS, software licensing, and international commercial agreements, while working closely with experienced in-house lawyers and business stakeholders. This is an outstanding opportunity for a lawyer eager to grow in a fast-paced, global technology company, working with some of the world’s fastest companies. You’ll receive hands-on mentorship from experienced team members while having the independence to manage your own workstreams. At Redis, we’re bringing AI into how we work. You’ll also help shape how AI transforms the legal function at scale.

You’ll report to the AGC, Global Head of Commercial Legal and partner with colleagues around the world.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive and support contract drafting and negotiation of commercial agreements including SaaS, licensing, NDAs, DPAs, and vendor/supplier contracts.
  • Support senior counsel and lead complex deal structuring and negotiations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams — Procurement, Sales, Finance, Deal Desk, Product and Security — to ensure contracts align with business goals and risk frameworks.
  • Help maintain and improve contract templates, processes, and playbooks.
  • Contribute to the use of AI tools for contract management and redlining efficiency.
  • Provide practical, business-oriented legal guidance to internal teams.
  • Gain exposure to broader legal areas within Redis.

What You’ll Need

  • JD from an ABA-accredited law school and admission to a US State Bar (active and in good standing).
  • 1–3 years of experience in commercial, SaaS, or technology transactions (law firm or in-house).
  • Familiarity with data privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA) and software licensing.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Strong interest in learning and adopting AI-based legal tools.
  • Collaborative attitude and eagerness to grow in a fast-paced environment.

Extra Great If You Have

  • Prior in-house experience, ideally in a high-growth tech company.
  • Undergraduate degree in business, computer science, or another technology-related field.
  • Experience with multi-state commercial contracts or vendor negotiations.
  • Additional language skills (French, German, Italian, Spanish or Portuguese a plus!).
  • Common sense, great judgment, and a good sense of humor or collaborative spirit
