Senior Escalations Engineer
Undertake variety of critical technical responsibilities; address complex customer issues; use Autodidact; perform optical networking (ECI, DWDM, SDH); work on cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP), K8S (deployment, troubleshooting); use supported platforms for k8s (Vanilla k8s, rancher, openshift, GKE; research root cause of problems; reproduce problems in customer look-a-like clusters; apply/test code fixes to product components; work with release manager to replicate solution to maintenance releases; train QA group members; serve as technical expert in management of Redis' data version control system during products/features implementation; address highly complex customer scenarios for distributed high-performance systems; analyze customers’ issues in complex scenarios for Redis’ cluster/cloud environments; review dozens of log files on different servers; understand events that caused malfunctions; update customers’ tickets with detailed root-cause analyses of problems (chain of actions/root causes); reproduce issues; replicate customers’ environments; use automated tools for simulations; build setup technically similar to customers’ environments; reproduce problems; create workaround solutions to address issues; test issues in replicated environments; apply solutions to customer environment; examine relevant code to identify/investigate/address bugs; identify component code in Redis’ Cluster Code that triggered problem; suggest code fix/approve fixes with developers; apply fixes to code; test code fixes to solve issues; work with release manager; replicate problems’ solutions to release branches based on product decisions; check solutions in each branch to verify no additional problems were caused; and share issues/solutions with peers to enhance testing around features. This is a telecommuting position with remote benefit from various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent*, plus 2 years experience to include using Autodidact; performing optical networking (ECI, DWDM, SDH); working on cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP), K8S (deployment, troubleshooting); and using supported platforms for k8s (Vanilla k8s, rancher, openshift, GKE), or alternatively, 6 years experience to include the same. (*Employer accepts experience in lieu of degree. For each year not completed towards the degree requirement, one year of experience can be substituted). This is a telecommuting position with remote benefit from various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.
Salary range from $206,315 to $238,000 per year.
