  • Partner cross-functionally with business teams such as procurement, sales, deal desk, finance, and security to efficiently resolve commercial matters and closure transactions.
  • Streamline the Legal review process and related policies for contracts through the use of AI and other automation tools.
  • Identify and resolve Legal and regulatory issues related to commercial contracts
  • Help maintain and improve templates, including improving commercial contracting playbooks in collaboration with other Legal team members
  • Draft and negotiate amendments for existing agreements, as needed.

What will you need to have?

  • JD from an ABA accredited university, and admission to the State Bar where you are located
  • 6+ years of relevant experience working specifically on software licensing and SaaS agreements (law firm and/or in-house)
  • Comfort and/or proficiency with AI-based tools for enhanced redlining and Legal research
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal guidance on moderate to highly complex problems while contributing successfully to cross-functional teams impacted
  • Deep knowledge in your own discipline, basic understanding of related disciplines, and may lead projects or act as a resource for colleagues
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through and meet deadlines
  • Common sense, great judgment, and a good sense of humor or collaborative spirit!

Extra great if you have:

  • Prior in-house experience preferred, particularly at a technology start up or scale up
  • Undergraduate degree in a business or technology field
