What You’ll Do

  • Be the company-wide expert of Redis’s internal data
  • Understand the analytics needs of the business and design and build Redis analytics data warehouse accordingly
  • Work with a team of data science professionals and cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities and build scalable data solutions
  • Build a high performing analytics engineering team to create analytics-friendly, scalable data infrastructure for the whole company
  • Introduce processes and documentation that accelerate the pace of analytics work
  • Enforce software engineering best practices to analytics code (version control, code reviews)
  • Manage documentation & definitions

What will you need to have?

  • 10+ years of experience working in data engineering and analytics engineering
  • Deep knowledge of data modeling best practices
  • Proficiency SQL & Python and modern orchestration and data pipelining tools like DBT
  • Strong oral and written communication + the ability to influence
  • Critical thinking and ability to effectively navigate ambiguity and competing priorities
  • Demonstrated competency building roadmaps and achieving cross-functional alignment and engagement on data priorities

The estimated gross base annual salary range for this role is $120,000 - $200,000 per year in New York, California, Washington, Colorado, and Rhode Island. Actual compensation may vary and is dependent on various factors, including a candidate’s work location, qualifications, experience, and competencies. Base annual salary is one component of Redis’ total compensation and competitive benefits package, which may include 401(k), unlimited time off, learning and development opportunities, and comprehensive health and wellness benefits. This role may include discretionary bonuses, stock options, commuter benefits based on location, or a commission plan. Salary history is not used in compensation package decisions. Redis utilizes market pay data to determine compensation, so posted compensation ranges are subject to change as new market data becomes available.
