We are looking for a Software Engineer to join the Geo Distributed Database Team

You will play a pivotal role in advancing the replication capabilities of Redis, focusing on the Syncer component which ensures efficient and reliable data replication for CRDT and Replicaof features.

This position offers an exciting chance to tackle intricate challenges in data consistency and fault tolerance, all while working with a dynamic team committed to enhancing the performance and scalability of one of the most popular NoSQL databases.

What You’ll Do

• Design and implement advanced data replication mechanisms for CRDTs and Replicaof features, ensuring high performance and low latency.
• Optimize existing replication protocols to enhance fault tolerance, data consistency, and system reliability across distributed nodes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and integrate new features that improve the scalability and resilience of Redis replication.
• Monitor and analyze replication performance metrics, identifying bottlenecks and implementing solutions to address them.
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
  
  

What will you need to have?

• B.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer experience in C and C++
• Work experience with Async programming and Distributed systems
• Work experience with networking system
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive approach to sharing knowledge and contributing to team success.
