In parallel, Razorpay is reimagining how businesses manage money by simplifying business banking (via Razorpay X) and enabling capital availability for businesses (via Razorpay Capital).

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Customer Onboarding Associate on a contract basis to support our payroll platform onboarding process. This role involves assisting new customers with their setup, ensuring a smooth experience, and providing clear reporting on onboarding progress and closures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle basic customer conversations during the onboarding process with clear and professional communication.

  • Guide customers step-by-step to successfully complete payroll platform onboarding.

  • Track, report, and maintain records of onboarding progress for each assigned account.

  • Provide visibility on customer onboarding status and project closures expected from onboarded customers.

  • Work closely with internal teams to escalate issues or gather required inputs.

  • Complete assigned tasks within defined timelines and ensure high-quality output.

Requirements

  • Basic communication and conversational skills to interact with customers confidently.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets (basic functions such as VLOOKUP, filters, formatting, etc.).

  • Proactive, fast learner with the ability to quickly understand processes and adapt to changes.

  • Detail-oriented with strong ownership to ensure timely task completion.

  • Ability to document and report work done, along with projecting expected closures from onboarded accounts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in customer onboarding, support, or operations is a plus.

  • Exposure to SaaS platforms, HR/Payroll tools, or fintech solutions will be an advantage.
