About the role :
We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Finance professional to oversee and manage key financial functions within the organization. The incumbent will work closely with the finance team and other departments to ensure efficient management of the finance function, accurate financial reporting, compliance with statutory requirements, and implementation of best practices.
This is a high-impact individual contributor role with significant responsibility for financial reporting, month-end close, and internal controls across India and Singapore operations, along with indirect leadership of cross-functional and regional teams.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in IFRS, experience working with Big-4 audit firms, and a strong background in general ledger controllership and process optimization, especially related to POS device management and control enhancements.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and relevant local GAAPs (India & Singapore).
- Ensure timely month-end close processes including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Maintain accuracy and integrity of the General Ledger (GL) and related sub-ledgers.
- Partner with internal teams and external advisors to ensure regulatory compliance in both geographies.
Audit & Controls
- Lead annual statutory audits for India and Singapore entities in collaboration with Big-4 auditors.
- Manage the preparation and submission of audit schedules, respond to auditor queries, and drive timely closure of audit findings.
- Strengthen internal controls and financial processes to enhance governance and risk management.
POS Device Management & Control Improvement
- Oversee financial management and tracking of POS devices, including reconciliation, asset tracking, and loss prevention.
- Design and implement control improvements around POS inventory, deployment, and maintenance.
- Drive initiatives to automate and streamline control processes for operational efficiency.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership
- Collaborate with operations, tech, and commercial teams to ensure financial implications of business initiatives are well-managed.
- Provide financial insights and support to business partners for informed decision-making.
- Influence teams to drive best practices in financial processes.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant or similar qualification with 3-5 years post qualification experience
- Minium 3 yrs years of experience in finance/accounting/auditing
- IFRS knowledge is an added advantage and would give the candidate an edge over others
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, TDS, GST
- Strong proficiency in financial software (ERP systems, MS Excel, etc.).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and with external stakeholders.
