⭐ Mission

Join us as a Banking Operations Officer (Juridical) to ensure compliant, timely handling of regulated banking events (liquidations, seizures, successions) for France, protecting Qonto's customers and keeping the company's operational and legal obligations firmly in check.

Impact

You will work closely with Juliette Chevallier, our Team Lead Banking Operations (Admin & Juridical procedures), and join a Juridical BO team of ~15 people across markets. The operational actions you execute every day directly reduce legal and financial risk, and ensure Qonto remains a trusted, reliable institution when it matters most for our customers.

👩‍💻🧑‍💻 As a Banking Operations Officer (Juridical) at Qonto, you will

  • Execute high-stakes account actions (closures, transfers, mandated actions) with 100% accuracy - applying strict legal guidelines and internal procedures consistently, documenting every action and maintaining up-to-date tracking tables.
  • Handle daily alerts and inbound mail processing - owning your assigned responsibilities within the team's shared daily schedule (AM/PM rotations, segmented ownership per agent) while continuously prioritizing based on volume, risk and urgency.
  • Coordinate with Customer Care and external third parties - provide clear written guidance on complex procedural decisions to frontline agents, and interact professionally with liquidators, bailiffs (huissiers), and tax authorities (e.g. DGFIP).
  • Contribute to procedure improvements - once ramped, identify gaps in existing workflows and propose incremental improvements (process hardening, tooling, AI-enabled ways of working), progressing toward handling complex, atypical cases with minimal supervision.

🤔 What you can expect

  • A team built on rigor and compliance: The Juridical BO team acts as a safeguard for the whole company. You will work alongside colleagues who take operational risk seriously and maintain a strong compliance mindset as a default.
  • A clear ramp-up path: You will start with standard cases to build mastery, then progressively handle more complex requests as your autonomy grows. Side projects (process hardening, AI-powered workflows) open up as you gain confidence.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: You will be in regular contact with Customer Care (your primary internal interface) as well as the broader Ops and Fraud teams - making strong written communication and a team-first mindset essential.
  • Embrace AI at Qonto: We actively encourage experimenting with AI daily, adapting your day-to-day to unlock productivity, and making your job evolve - this team is no exception.

🤝 About your future manager

Your manager will be Juliette Chevallier, our Team Lead Banking Operations (Admin & Juridical procedures).

  • Her background: Juliette joined Qonto in January 2021 as a Back Office Associate before being promoted to her current Team Lead role in 2023. Prior to Qonto, she built a strong foundation in project management and marketing with global brands like Relais & Châteaux, Shiseido (Dolce & Gabbana), and Fossil. She holds a Master's degree in Marketing and Brand Management from NEOMA Business School.
  • What she brings to the team: Blending operational rigor with agile project management, Juliette offers exceptional organizational skills and cross-functional expertise. Her internal growth at Qonto reflects her deep understanding of our banking operations and her ability to guide a team through complex administrative and juridical workflows.
🏅 About you:
  • Task Prioritization & Organization: You have at least one year experience (internship included) in high-volume back-office or customer operations and a track record of meeting tight SLAs with competing priorities across multiple tools and queues.
  • Operational Rigor: You demonstrate extreme attention to detail and accuracy, ideally with past experience handling sensitive data, client funds, or high-stakes operational tasks where errors carry real consequences.
  • Procedural Adherence & Judgment: You are comfortable working in regulated environments (banking, legal, compliance, etc.) and can interpret and apply complex guidelines consistently, while exercising sound judgment on when to escalate.
  • Risk Awareness & Compliance Mindset: You naturally prioritize security and compliance over speed, and can identify potential operational or financial risks before they become problems.
  • Languages: You are fluent in written and spoken French (required for legal processing) and have a good B2 English level (Qonto's internal language).
Please note that this position is not offered as fully remote. It requires a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week onsite in our France office and 2 days working remotely.
At Qonto we understand that true diversity isn't just about ticking boxes on a hiring checklist. Apply regardless of the boxes you tick! Who knows? You may have the missing piece of the puzzle we've been searching for all along.
