⭐ Mission
Join us as a KYC/KYB Analyst to secure Qonto's growth by assessing our most sensitive clients and strengthening our second line of defense. You will work closely with Nicolas, our Head of Financial Crime Compliance, to handle high-risk files while actively contributing to the automation and improvement of our compliance tools and process.
👩‍💻🧑‍💻 As an KYC/KYB Analyst at Qonto, you will
Analyze high-risk customer files (KYC/KYB) via Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) processes to establish risk levels and take onboarding decisions.
Collaborate with Onboarding and Product teams to optimize data collection forms and internal tools, ensuring we ask the right questions to the right clients.
Contribute to the Group coordination by helping harmonize ethical and compliance procedures across all our European markets, focusing specifically on the French market regulations.
Participate in the integration of AI tools to automate low-value tasks, allowing you to focus on complex decision-making.
Monitor the portfolio by conducting periodic reviews of sensitive clients to ensure they remain within Qonto’s risk appetite.
🤔 What you can expect
Market/Team Context: Join the fast-growing AFC (Anti-Financial Crime) team as a strategic guardian of Qonto’s healthy growth. You will operate as a second line of defense, without client-facing tasks, to focus purely on deep-dive investigations and complex decision-making for our most sensitive business cases.
Methodologies: A role split between 70% operational analysis (handling volumes of complex cases) and 30% advisory/project work to improve our systems.
Tools we use: Forest, Notion, and our internal banking back-office systems.
🤝 About your future manager
Your manager will be Nicolas Gougeon, our Head of Financial Crime Compliance.
His path? Before joining Qonto, Nicolas had 8+ years of expertise from BNP Paribas, where he spent his last 5 years leading counter‑terrorism financing at the group level and 3+ years as a compliance officer in Group Financial Security. Before joining the banking sector, he gained unique insights as a Financial Analyst/Investigator at the French Ministry of Interior, specializing in organized crime and financial security.
What can he bring to the team? Nicolas combines deep regulatory expertise with hands‑on experience in building group‑level oversight functions. Having successfully managed complex anti‑financial crime frameworks across multiple jurisdictions, he now brings this institutional knowledge to create Qonto’s first compliance group function. His background spans from frontline investigations to strategic risk management, making him uniquely positioned to guide both operational excellence and regulatory compliance as Qonto expands across European markets.
🏅 About You
Experience: You have 3 to 5 years of experience in KYC/KYB, Financial Security, or Compliance, ideally within a traditional bank or a Fintech with significant volume.
Hard Skills: You master the regulations related to Anti-Money Laundering (AML/CFT) and have specific experience with Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) for high-risk clients.
Analytical Mindset: You are rigorous and capable of analyzing complex corporate documents (financial statements, ownership structures) efficiently.
Continuous Improvement: You are proactive in identifying gaps in processes and proposing concrete solutions to Product and Ops teams.
Languages: You are fluent in French and English.
At Qonto we understand that true diversity isn't just about ticking boxes on a hiring checklist. Apply regardless of the boxes you tick! Who knows? You may have the missing piece of the puzzle we've been searching for all along.
