Join us as a Regulatory Reporting Intern to support Qonto's compliance with banking regulations across 8 European markets, ensuring accurate and timely regulatory reports are delivered to supervisors.
You will be part of the growing Risk & Compliance function and report to Vincent, our Regulatory Reporting Lead.
👩‍💻🧑‍💻 As a Regulatory Reporting Intern at Qonto, you will:
Produce and submit regulatory reports (monthly and quarterly) to banking supervisors across Europe, including FICOBA (France), Fichero de Titularidades (Spain), and Payment Statistics (European Central Bank).
Collect and analyze data from Data, Accounting, and Finance teams using Excel and Google Sheets, ensuring reports are accurate and complete.
Perform quality control checks on regulatory data to identify anomalies and ensure compliance with supervisory requirements.
Use AI tools (LLMs) daily to work efficiently and faster - embrace experimentation with ChatGPT, Claude, and other AI tools to automate tasks and improve workflows.
Contribute to long-term projects including analyzing new regulations (e.g., IFREP reporting), improving our Regulatory Reporting Cockpit (internal tracking tool), and streamlining reporting processes.
🤔 What you can expect:
International dimension: The role covers Qonto's 8 European markets (France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Portugal, Netherlands, Austria, Belgium) and aligns with Qonto's ambition to become a true European champion.
Market/Team Context: Join a dynamic 4-person team (Vincent, Davide, Vitalii, and you!) whose daily focus is to ensure compliance is an enabler to Qonto's development across Europe. You'll produce real regulatory reports that go to banking supervisors like ACPR, Banco de España, Banca d'Italia, BaFin, and the European Central Bank.
Methodologies, how we work, and what we value: Agile, modern, and responsive to regulatory changes, prioritizing accuracy and efficiency. We use AI tools daily to work faster and unlock productivity. We embrace experimentation, learn from AI, and adopt it in our day-to-day workflows.
Seasonal work with variety: Peak months (January, April, July, October) for quarterly reporting, lighter months for long-term projects (new regulations analysis, process improvements).
Develop autonomy & skills: Learn to work with prioritization, gain autonomy after a few months, and develop strong Excel/Google Sheets skills working with regulatory data.
Hybrid work: 3 days in office, 2 days remote.
🤝 About your future Manager:
His background? Vincent has built his expertise through key roles at leading financial institutions. At Rothschild, he managed regulatory reporting before moving to GE Capital to focus on treasury and asset-liability management. Prior to joining Qonto in 2022, he spent 5 years at Wolters Kluwer as a Senior Consultant, guiding financial institutions through complex regulatory compliance requirements.
What he can bring to the team? Vincent offers deep knowledge of banking regulations and asset-liability management across multiple frameworks. His combined experience as both consultant and in-house expert provides valuable perspectives on implementing effective regulatory solutions. With his technical expertise and strategic approach to compliance challenges, Vincent will help you navigate the complex regulatory landscape in the fintech space while clearly communicating complex concepts.
🏅 About You:
Education: Ideally pursuing a degree in in Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, Business Administration, or Data Analysis (with finance/regulatory focus).
Analytical Skills: Strong ability to understand and interpret complex regulatory requirements.
Fast learner & resilient: You can quickly learn new concepts and processes, become autonomous after a few months, and handle tight deadlines during reporting months (January, April, July, October).
Languages: Fluent in English. Knowledge of French, Italian, Spanish, or German is a plus.
