⭐ Mission:
Step into the role of General Accountant at Qonto to strengthen our accounting team's technical expertise while maintaining our financial integrity through precise daily operations in France.
You'll work closely with David Torini, our Lead General Accountant France, playing a pivotal role in both our upcoming SAP implementation project and ensuring our finance team operates with excellence.
👩💻🧑💻 As a General Accountant at Qonto, you will
• Manage critical accounting processes including bank reconciliation, VAT reconciliation, and monthly closings with unwavering accuracy
• Drive the implementation and transition to SAP S/4HANA, bringing your expertise to this strategic transformation project
• Manage fiscal declarations (VAT, C3S, CVAE, IS) while ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements
• Work with the Accounting Rule Engine to ensure proper allocation of financial flows across systems
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency within the finance department

• Tools & Technology: You'll work with advanced accounting systems, including our upcoming SAP S/4HANA implementation, artificial intelligence and the Accounting Rule Engine for financial flow management.

🤝 About your future manager
Your manager will be David, our Lead General Accountant France at Qonto.
• His path? David has built a solid foundation in accounting and finance through his diverse career path. Before joining Qonto, he was a Senior Manager in Finance & Audit at Batt & Associés, managing a team and handling various financial operations. He started his professional journey at KPMG as a financial auditor, where he developed his expertise in auditing and financial risk analysis.
• What he can bring to the team? Leading a team of three, David leverages his extensive experience to guide and mentor his team effectively. His profound finance and accounting knowledge and leadership skills enable him to streamline financial processes and drive impactful results.
🏅About You
• Technical Expertise: You are proficient in French accounting rules (FR GAAP) with strong analytical skills, and you must be proficient in Excel and familiar with common features (Pivot Tables, SUMIFS, XLOOKUP, etc.)
• SAP Experience: You have previous experience with SAP implementation, ideally with S/4HANA
• Industry Knowledge: You bring experience from accounting firms or structured companies in a fast-paced environment
• Process Improvement: You have a track record of identifying and implementing efficiency improvements in accounting processes
• Languages: You are fluent in both English and French, and based in Paris or willing to relocate
