⭐ Mission

Join us as a Legal Intern to support our growing operations in the German market by taking charge of pre-litigation cases, commercial contracts, and legal analysis. You will directly impact Qonto's legal efficiency and compliance as we expand, working closely with Sergej Peter Braun, our Legal Counsel Expert.

👩‍💻🧑‍💻 As a Legal Intern (German market) at Qonto, you will

• Take ownership of pre-litigation and litigation support, including case preparation, follow-ups, and structured tracking with increasing autonomy to handle high-volume workloads.
• Contribute to the drafting and review of commercial contracts and service provision agreements, while supporting corporate formalities.
• Conduct legal analysis for new features launching in Germany to ensure compliance and business readiness.
• Support Operations and Customer Care teams on claims and pre-litigation topics, enabling smooth cross-functional collaboration.

Logistics: This is a 6-month full-time internship starting mid-to-late April (ASAP), based in either Berlin (preferred) or Paris.

🤝 About your future manager

Your manager, Sergej Peter Braun, acts as the de facto general counsel for Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, and Serbia. He previously worked as a Senior Legal Counsel at Mondu (Fintech) and brings deep expertise in navigating the intersection of law and financial technology. He will provide you with strong mentorship and teach you how to effectively support operational, business, and product teams on all legal aspects.

🏅 About You

• Legal Communication & Stakeholder Management: You have professional-level German communication skills and can effectively manage relationships across courts and external counsel.
• German Legal Research & Analysis: You're currently studying German law or have training in German legal concepts with solid understanding of the German legal system.
• Contract Management & Localization: You have a solid understanding of contract fundamentals and are eager to apply them to commercial agreements.
• Legal Advisory Support: You have the ability to break down complex legal concepts and explain them simply to different business stakeholders.
• Legal Technology Proficiency: You are tech-savvy, open to adopting digital tools, and ready to learn how to leverage legal tech efficiently.
