The Role

As a Senior Engineer, you will be a key member of our engineering team, responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining advanced software applications. You will architect scalable, high-performance solutions, write clean code, and mentor junior engineers. You will oversee the entire software development lifecycle—from concept through deployment—ensuring best practices are followed throughout.

What You’ll Do

Solution Architecture: Lead the design and development of complex technical solutions and contribute to the evolution of our platform architecture.
Full-Stack Development: Build and implement solutions with a focus on engineering best practices, performance optimization, and reusability.
End-to-End Ownership: Own delivery from architecture to hands-on development, technical oversight, and release planning.
Mentorship & Collaboration: Work hands-on as a developer while supporting and mentoring other engineers; collaborate across disciplines using Agile/Scrum.
Strategy & Alignment: Partner with leadership to ensure integrations align with business strategy; shape the direction of our technical strategy.
Quality Assurance: Perform code reviews, debugging, and verification testing; automate repetitive tasks and workflows to ensure high standards.

What You Bring

Experience: 5+ years of professional software development experience with demonstrated progression in scope and responsibility.
Backend Mastery: Strong expertise in Perl for building performant services and microservices.
Frontend Skills: Proficiency in ReactJS and modern front-end practices.
Databases: Solid experience with PostgreSQL and MySQL, including query optimization and schema design.
Cloud Infrastructure: Proficiency in AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM) for managing production workloads.
Testing & Observability: Experience with Cypress for E2E testing and tools like Datadog or Splunk for monitoring.
Modern Tools: Experience with RESTful APIs and familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor).
