ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Hardware Validation Engineer. This role will involve all aspects of the fitness product hardware reliability, key component performance, and tracking electrical and certification tests of tablets, control boards, and electronic accessories.

YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON

  • Execute the mechanical and electrical tests of HW reliability and validation plans in the internal or 3rd party labs.

  • Establish HW reliability and validation plans for the new product and component, introduce the requirements in the early stages of product development to bring consistency in design, and keep improving the reliability and stability in all stages of the product life cycle.

  • Estimate the reliability goals, field failure rate, and failure distributions with the statistics' tool for the test plan and issue.

  • Generate and summarize hardware validation testing status and results and reports in order to present to the multi-functional teams (engineering and Ops teams)

  • Work closely with ODM/OEM partners to lock down the test plan including test specifications and test criteria for Peloton products and manage ODM/OEM on proper execution and completion of all hardware validation testing.

  • Work with EE and SW/FW teams to drive signal integrity, system stability, and performance tests on the vendor side.

  • Drive the certifications of the key feature of the electronic product and support the compliance of the safety/regulations in NA, EU, and UK markets.

  • Identify and track each HW-related issue and work with the team to investigate the root cause and effective corrective actions.

WHAT YOU BRING TO PELOTON

  • 5+ years of experience in HW reliability testing experience

  • 1+ years of experience in regulatory compliance design, testing, and certification

  • Knowledge of accelerated life testing theory/methods and reliability analysis (development, planning, and execution)

  • Understand NA/CA/EU safety and regulatory requirements and processes

  • Must be able to work well in a fast-paced environment and be an excellent teammate, ability to collaborate with multi-functional teams

  • Proficient oral and written skills and the ability to document and present information in comprehensive and clear ways

  • Experience with ODM, JDM, or CM models of reliability development

  • Phenomenal failure analysis skill

  • Supplier quality management skills, knowledge of electronics, and software coding would be a plus

  • Familiar and experienced with the tools and frameworks, like JIRA, Confluence, and PLM system
