The Marketing Analytics team at Peloton is a full-stack team responsible for data, analytics, and predictive modeling to accelerate and optimize global connected fitness membership growth across all marketing channels.

Peloton is looking for an ambitious and talented individual to lead our Marketing Analytics Engineering function. This team is responsible for building and improving foundational data infrastructure essential to accelerating and optimizing acquisition efforts across the entire Marketing organization. This specific role will also have management responsibility and directly influence the evolution of Peloton’s data architecture and business reporting.

  • Understand business context and translate stakeholder needs into ETL and dashboard requirements, and own the team’s monthly and quarterly roadmaps. You will work closely with go-to-market teams (e.g. media, lifecycle) as well as “horizontal” teams like Demand Forecasting and Insights, Marketing Technology, and Enterprise Data
  • Design new data architecture, and revamp existing data architecture, to ensure best-in-class operational reliability, pipeline efficiency, data quality, and architectural modularity. You’ll work with the team on identifying data discrepancies, paying down tech debt, monitoring daily job execution, and diagnosing and fixing issues to ensure SLAs are met with internal partners

  • 6-8 years of working experience in an analytics engineering, business intelligence, data engineering, or technical data analytics role supporting marketing or sales organizations - of which 1-3 years is in a leadership/people manager capacity
  • Expertise in SQL and ETL optimization techniques, especially within cloud-based data warehouses like Redshift, Snowflake, and BigQuery, as well as use of OSX command line and version control software (git). Plus: Knowledge of AWS ecosystem/CLI and data ingestion tools (e.g. Fivetran, Stitch)
  • Serious plus: Experience working directly with data feeds from platforms used by marketing teams (e.g. Segment, Google, Meta, AppsFlyer, SendGrid, Braze)
  • Experience with building Looker data models, as well as data pipeline management technologies with dependency checking (e.g. Airflow, dbt), schema design, and dimensional data modeling
  • Ability to use tools, business intuition, and impeccable attention to detail for data validation and QA
  • Excellent communication skills, especially when distilling technical or complex matters into clear and concise explanations for senior leaders and less technical partners
  • A high degree of motivation to be proactive and go above and beyond the task at hand
  • BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math or a related technical field
