The Global Security Operations (GSO) Team owns the safety and security efforts at Peloton. We are on a mission to build a world-class Global Security Program! As Peloton’s Crisis Management Lead you will own crisis incident response, lead GSO programs and projects in crisis management, incident management policy development, risk intelligence, crisis management training, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will play a key role in the broader GSO organization by assisting with the overall strategy, design, and execution of program development.
Reporting directly to the Cyber Defense Manager you will work with multiple and diverse teams across Peloton including Learning and Development, Legal, Team Member Relations, Corporate Communications, and Operations. You will own the program quality, delivery, and overall success of the crisis management program while ensuring compliance with program standards. You will act as incident commander for crises on a regular basis. As a dedicated member of the broader Security and Trust team, you will help us drive initiatives forward to improve the quality of our global portfolio.
The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with high attention to detail. They have extensive experience collaborating with diverse partners, leading programs, and driving program compliance. This person is a self-motivated, agile team player who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is willing to challenge existing solutions.
YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON
- Execute all aspects of program and project management from project initiation through completion, including identifying dependencies, risk mitigation, working with cross-functional partners escalating critical roadblocks, developing and delivering communications and change management, and tracking and reporting on implementation.
- Lead and work collaboratively on the content development, review, and revision of security, crisis management, and security-related policies and audit programs.
- Develop and lead Peloton’s crisis response plan.
- Lead and manage our Risk Operations Center (ROC) & partner with the Security Operations Center (SOC).
- Work closely with vendors, account managers, guards and contingent employees.
- Lead incident management policy development and drive policy compliance.
- Assist with broad communication during crisis incidents.
- Develop scalable processes for crisis management protocols, training, awareness, and compliance.
- Act as incident commander for all crises, in partnership with operational leadership, leveraging support from peers and partners as needed.
YOU BRING TO PELOTON
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology or a related field.
- 6+ years of project/program management experience in the safety/security field, preferably in a fast-paced global organization
- Proven track record in crisis management or emergency response roles, ideally with experience in both cyber and physical security contexts.
- Experience developing and implementing crisis management plans and conducting training exercises.
- Familiarity with risk assessment tools and methodologies, as well as incident response and disaster recovery procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort in collaborating with executives and senior leaders
- Strong understanding of IT systems, network architectures, and cybersecurity principles.
- The ability to present ideas, bring strategies to life, and incorporate feedback into your iterative work
- PMP or project management experience is a plus
- Availability to respond to crises during and outside of normal business hours.
