About Payoneer
Founded in 2005, Payoneer is the global financial platform that removes friction from doing business across borders, with a mission to connect the world’s underserved businesses to a rising global economy. We’re a community with over 2,500 colleagues all over the world, working to serve customers, and partners in over 190 countries and territories.
By taking the complexity out of the financial workflows–including everything from global payments and compliance to multi-currency and workforce management, to providing working capital and business intelligence–we give businesses the tools they need to work efficiently worldwide and grow with confidence.
The Role
Make every Payoneer capability accessible programmatically — through self-serve APIs and AI-native MCP interfaces — so customers and their AI agents can work with Payoneer wherever they operate, without opening the app.
This is a new, high-ownership area with no prior product owner — strategy, vision, and roadmap are yours to define. Payoneer already exposes hundreds of APIs, but only a fraction of customers can reach them and onboarding still takes weeks, capping adoption and the retention upside of integrated customers. As Senior Product Manager, Platform Integrations, you’ll own the strategy to close that gap, turn API access into a growth and retention lever, and take our MCP / AI-native layer from proof-of-concept to production. You’ll work across Product, R&D, Risk, Security, Legal, and GTM, and report into the Platform Product leadership team.
What you’ll do
- Take the MCP to production. Take Payoneer’s MCP work from proof-of-concept to production – exposing capabilities such as balance, transactions, payouts, and FX as tools that AI agents (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude) can call. Partner with Account Security and Core Foundations on auth, governance, and a secure read-first rollout.
- Turn API access into a growth lever. Payoneer exposes hundreds of APIs, but only a fraction of customers can reach them and onboarding still takes weeks — capping adoption and the retention upside of integrated customers. Own the strategy to close that gap end-to-end, with self-serve onboarding, developer experience, and API governance as the execution threads.
- Turn demand into a roadmap. Synthesize signals from CSM, Sales, and regional GTM teams (EMEA, LATAM, APAC) into a prioritized, evidence-backed roadmap, and prove the business case – including the retention impact of API-integrated customers.
- Lead cross-functionally. Coordinate Risk (eligibility), Security (MCP/API risk model), Legal (data sharing and LLM integrations), Pricing, and Engineering to unblock launches and land outcomes, not just features.
Who you are
- 6+ years in product management, including significant experience owning API, platform, developer-facing, or integration products.
- Strong technical fluency: comfortable discussing REST APIs, webhooks/events, authentication (OAuth), SDKs, and integration architecture directly with engineers.
- Proven ability to take an ambiguous, unowned area and create clarity – strategy, roadmap, and shipped product – with a high degree of independence.
- Track record of building self-serve or developer experiences, and of driving measurable adoption and time-to-value improvements.
- Excellent cross-functional leadership: you align Risk, Security, Legal, GTM, and Engineering around shared outcomes and keep them moving.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; you frame decisions with data and are comfortable defining metrics where none exist.
- Fluent English, written and verbal. Based in India with the ability to work in a hybrid model and collaborate across global time zones.
What could set you apart
- Hands-on exposure to AI-native interfaces – Model Context Protocol (MCP), agent tooling, or LLM integrations – and a point of view on where agent-driven finance is heading.
- Experience in fintech, payments, or another regulated environment, and fluency working within compliance, risk, and security constraints.
- Familiarity with API aggregators and ERP/accounting ecosystems (e.g. Codat, Rutter, Xero, QuickBooks, NetSuite).
- Experience productizing an existing internal API surface – governance, standardization, and developer adoption at scale.
- A builder’s bias: you’ve turned a first customer or first use case into a repeatable, scalable product.
