What you’ll do:
We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join the CN & APAC Enterprise team, focusing on driving new business opportunities across high-potential enterprise verticals in CN and APAC.
This role will initially place more focus on livestreaming, creator economy, digital platforms, and other fast-growing verticals where we see strong market potential. At the same time, the scope will remain open to broader enterprise opportunities across marketplaces, platforms, digital services, travel, education, and other emerging industries.
The ideal candidate should have strong business development capability, solid understanding of platform-based ecosystems, and the ability to work cross-functionally with Product, Compliance, Risk, Marketing, and regional GTM teams to convert market opportunities into scalable business growth.
Responsibility
- Identify and develop new enterprise opportunities across CN and APAC, with priority focus on livestreaming, creator economy, digital platforms, and other high-potential verticals, while remaining open to broader marketplace and platform-based opportunities.
- Build and manage strategic relationships with target clients, including platforms, agencies, ecosystem partners, and local business stakeholders.
- Lead end-to-end business development efforts, including market mapping, opportunity assessment, client engagement, proposal development, negotiation, and deal closing.
- Work closely with Client Business Managers, Product, Compliance, Risk, Legal, Pricing, Marketing, and regional GTM teams to develop tailored solutions for enterprise clients.
- Support the development of vertical strategy for livestreaming and related digital industries, including market insights, competitive analysis, client needs, and product gaps.
- Drive pipeline creation and maintain regular tracking of business opportunities, deal progress, revenue potential, and key risks.
- Collaborate with CN and APAC local teams to identify cross-market opportunities and support local-to-local expansion.
- Represent Payoneer in client meetings, industry events, partner discussions, and relevant ecosystem activities.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, enterprise sales, or platform partnership roles.
- Experience in livestreaming, creator economy, digital platforms, e-commerce marketplaces, fintech, payments, or cross-border business is preferred.
- Strong ability to identify business opportunities, structure partnership models, and drive deals from early-stage discussion to signing.
- Strong client-facing communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders.
- Good business sense and analytical capability, with the ability to assess market potential, revenue impact, and strategic value.
- Comfortable working in a cross-functional and matrixed environment with multiple internal stakeholders.
- Self-driven, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-moving environment.
- Fluent in Mandarin and English; additional APAC language capability is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working with livestreaming platforms, agencies, creator networks, or digital entertainment platforms.
- Strong understanding of payout, payment, wallet, or financial service needs of platforms and agencies.
- Experience in enterprise-level partnership development across CN and APAC markets.
- Existing network within livestreaming, creator economy, digital media, or platform ecosystems.
- Ability to combine business development execution with strategic thinking and market insight generation.
