Full-time
Payoneer is looking for a strategic, high-impact Senior Manager of Communications to lead our internal and external narrative in Israel. This is a dual-mandate role: you will be the architect of how our Israel-based employees stay connected to our mission, and the guardian of our external reputation within the local market.
Reporting to the VP of Global Communications, you will act as a bridge between global strategy and local nuance. You aren’t just delivering messages—you are a trusted advisor to Israel-based executives and a key partner to the People team.
Why this role matters?
Israel is a critical innovation hub for Payoneer. As we evolve as a public company, this role ensures our most important assets—our people and our reputation—are aligned with our global trajectory. You ensure that when Payoneer speaks, the message is credible, culturally resonant, and strategically sound.
What you'll do:
Lead internal communications for Israel:
- Set and execute Israel’s internal communications strategy, aligned to global priorities and tailored to local leadership, culture, and employee needs.
- Own employee communications across key moments, including organizational change, leadership updates, strategy rollouts, and major announcements.
- Track engagement and continuously refine approach for impact.
Lead external communications and media relations in Israel:
- Partner closely with the global external communications team to drive Israel-related communications.
- Manage Payoneer’s Israel PR agency and oversee proactive and reactive media engagement.
- Prepare Israel-based executives for media interactions with clear messaging, talking points, and briefings.
- Ensure local media narratives support Payoneer’s global positioning and business priorities.
Connect global strategy to local execution:
- Translate company-wide strategies and executive messaging into clear, relevant communications for Israel audiences.
- Act as a bridge between global communications and local leadership to ensure alignment and consistency.
- Feed employee, media, and stakeholder insights from Israel into global communications strategy.
Create high-quality content and engagement moments:
- Develop and oversee content across internal and external channels, including leadership communications, FAQs, intranet stories, and press materials.
- Plan and execute key Israel employee forums and support local external moments tied to business milestones.
Who you are:
-
A Strategic Storyteller: You have 10+ years of experience in dual-track (internal/external) communications. You know how to pivot your tone for an all-hands meeting or a Tier-1 media interview.
-
A Trusted Advisor: You are comfortable sitting at the table with senior VPs, offering candid advice and guiding them through sensitive organizational changes.
-
Global at Heart: You thrive in matrixed, fast-paced environments and understand the complexity of a global-local reporting line.
-
Hands-on Operator: You can draft the strategy in the morning and write the "urgent" Slack announcement in the afternoon.
-
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
-
Environment: Experience in a publicly traded or highly regulated global company is strongly preferred.
-
Media Savvy: Proven track record in media relations and managing PR agencies with measurable results.
-
HR Partnership: Deep experience collaborating with HR on employee engagement and change management.
-
Project Mastery: Exceptional ability to juggle high-pressure priorities without losing sight of the details.
