Role summary:

As a strategic partner to the Chief People Officer (CPO), this role enhances the effectiveness of the People Leadership Team (PLT) and the broader People organization. You will serve as a trusted advisor, operational leader, and communications strategist, driving execution of key initiatives, managing the rhythm of business, and amplifying the CPO’s impact across the company. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in high-impact environments, excels at strategic thinking and execution, and is passionate about organizational effectiveness and employee experience.

What You’ll Do:

Strategic Advisory

  • Act as a thought partner and confidant to the CPO, advising on decisions and co-creating strategic content.
  • Leverage data and analysis to provide insights and recommendations.
  • Participate in ideation and planning sessions with the CPO and PLT.

Execution & Operations

  • Lead execution of strategic People initiatives including transformation plans, OKRs, and annual strategy.
  • Own and manage the People calendar, leadership routines, and departmental budget.
  • Facilitate PLT weekly meetings and cross-functional advisory panels.
  • Track progress on corporate initiatives (e.g., CEO Office, Enterprise Risk, Internal Audit).
  • Maintain centralized knowledge repositories (e.g., SharePoint) for methodologies and best practices.
  • Oversee the People team’s EA to ensure CPO calendar efficiency and alignment.

Communications

  • Craft messaging and presentations for CEO-CPO meetings, board updates, all-hands, and town halls.
  • Support the CPO in media interviews, conference appearances, and thought leadership content.
  • Develop and maintain a rolling HR communications calendar and global People communications playbook.
  • Design and distribute monthly People newsletters summarizing initiatives and roadmap updates.

CPO Enablement

  • Ensure strategic alignment of the CPO’s time and priorities.
  • Serve as a gatekeeper and manage incoming requests, scheduling, and event planning.
  • Represent the CPO in meetings and manage key relationships across the organization.
  • Design and distribute monthly People newsletters summarizing initiatives and roadmap updates.

  • High emotional intelligence and ability to influence without authority
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level storytelling
  • Discretion and integrity in handling sensitive information
  • Resilience and ability to manage a heavy workload in a dynamic environment

In accordance with New York City Law, below is the annual base salary range for this position. Actual annual base salary is based on, but not limited to: experience, education, professional licenses, location and business needs. The position is eligible for health insurance, disability insurance, life insurance, 401k plan, paid-time off, and sick (and where applicable safe) leave. This position is also eligible for a discretionary year-end bonus.

The annual base salary range for this position is: $180,000 - $220,000
